Outreach

Fostering the development of talent and an appreciation of the performing arts in young people has been integral to TEF's mission since its earliest days. We are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of artists and arts enthusiasts through outreach programs.

Family Series

The TEF Family Series is a slate of family-friendly weekend performances designed to reach younger audiences. Educational components and hands-on experiences are often integrated into the performances. A primary goal of the Family Series is to expose audiences to rich, robust programming at times, settings and locations that are easily accessible for families with young children, providing quality entertainment that people of all ages will enjoy. Admission is free.

Student Tickets

Early exposure to the arts can become a lifelong love affair--precisely the reason TEF underwrites the cost of concert tickets for any enrolled student. Still just $15, the discounted ticket price makes concert attendance affordable to a wide audience.

School Performances

TEF reaches out to students of all ages with special performances and workshops. Since the 1940s, thousands have enjoyed broad exposure to performing arts productions such as ballet, Austrian marionettes, Shakespeare plays, opera, jazz and chamber music.

Scholarships

TEF has assisted nearly forty promising students in their pursuit of excellence in the performing arts. TEF scholarship and travel-grant recipients broadened their artistic horizons at prestigious summer institutes around the globe, and some have gone on to prestigious careers in the arts. To apply, please contact the TEF office at (229) 226-7404.

A Cause Worth Supporting

In a time when financial hardships force schools to curtail arts education, community-based outreach programs such as TEF's can fill the gap with enriching opportunities outside the classroom. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of supporters to fund these worthwhile educational efforts. If you would like to contribute to arts education, please consider a tax-deductible gift to the TEF Endowment Trust, P.O. Box 1976, Thomasville, Georgia 31799.
