Dashing pirates, star-crossed lovers, pompous major-generals and a leap-year technicality come together in this costumed concert presentation of Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert’s beloved comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance. After intermission, the six players return in black tie and gowns to entertain the audience with selections from musicals such as H.M.S. Pinafore and The Mikado, and will take impromptu audience requests! Now in its 50th year, New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players is America’s preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble.
