A Far Cry – Important Announcement

It is with great disappointment that we are forced to announce thecancellation – or rather the postponement – of TEF’s March 24thconcert by A Far Cry. We were notified last night by the orchestra’s management team that corona virus-related cancellation of concerts by other venues on their routed tour of the East Coast made coming to Thomasville this month impossible.

This is only a postponement, and we are already working with A Far Cry’s management to reschedule this concert during 2020-21, not as a part of the regular season, but as a make-up concert. In other words, during TEF’s 83rd performance season, we plan to offer three performances in our Classics Series, three in our Variations Series - plus A Far Cry as a pre-ticketed event. The season tickets you purchased for A Far Cry will, of course, be honored for the rescheduled concert.

Or, TEF will be happy to offer you a refund on your ticket purchase if you would prefer. Just let us know. As this will prove to be a complicated process, we respectfully ask that you give us a few weeks to process refunds.

Certainly, the health and well-being of our community, our volunteers and our patrons are paramount, and we recognize that a significant portion of our series audience falls within the group most vulnerable to the impact of the corona virus. We feel confident this is the best course of action under the circumstances.

Again, all of us at Thomasville Entertainment Foundation sincerely regret that A Far Cry is not able to perform as scheduled, but we do plan to bring this wonderful string orchestra to Thomasville next season. We hope you will plan to be with us when we do.
